About Douglas

Douglas Mayfield is from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and whenever he says that, we think of our wholesaler's warehouse from which we get book orders in thrice weekly.  Now in the pre-nursing program at Sauk Valley Community College, he already has plans to draw his college crowd further down Route 2 and in for lattes and live music on Saturday evenings.  "I can't believe someone who grew up in Sterling [the neighboring city] never knew Books on First was right here in Dixon."  Douglas's schedule consits of Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, as well as Sundays.
