Credit Sales and Return
Policy

Personal or Company Checks
For purchases of $5.00 or more, we accept checks at time of sale
with signed photo identification like a drivers license,
check-cashing card or company/school i.d. tag. Checks must have
current address and telephone #, and be for exact amount of total.
For returned checks, we must charge you any fees/costs incurred
(currently $25) and require your payment within 24 hours of notification.
We cannot accept third-party checks.
Credit Cards
For purchases of $10.00 or more, we are currently accepting VISA
& MasterCard. The card must be in your name or you are an
authorized signatory on record with the credit card company.
If we cannot receive payment on the charge, we must additionally
charge you any fees/costs incurred (currently $10) and ask that
you make payment within 24 hours of being notified of the problem.
Returns
We certainly understand the dismay when you excitedly buy a new
treasure for yourself or a loved one only to find that great
minds think alike and you now have two copies.
To ensure the joy of each person getting a beautiful,
brand-spanking new book, CD, or tape, from Books on First, we
can accept returns only for items in perfect resellable condition.
For example, no smudges, foreign matter or writing on the book,
no creases on the pages, cover or spine, and no opened shrink-wrap/packaging.
Returns must be accompanied by a store receipt within 2 weeks
of purchase and credit will be issued for merchandise (and sales
tax) only.
We cannot accept returns of magazines, newspapers,
cards or food-related items.
We encourage any returns due to defects (e.g. missing
pages or parts), so that we can notify the original publisher/manufacturer.
