Oh, No! No Inventory Update

UPDATE on updating our in-store inventory, so that you can see online just what we have or can get for you:
Our work-around is sporadic at best and what you see as "in stock" may not be and vice versa.
The only reliable information is that if the status is: "hard to get," that book really is hard to get!
Please give us a call 815-285-2665 or write us if you need additional help.
We thank you for your patience.

Parent-Daughter Book Club

Sixth-/Seventh-grade English teacher Julia Thornton and daughter Lahli share their summer reading with any 8-10 year old girl and her parent. Meeting every Wednesday through 10August here at Books on First, they have chosen a good selection of old and new classics, including Roald Dahl's The Witches, discussed on 22June.

It's not too late to get into the groove.  It's free to attend, have a great summer club experience and make new friends. You're just responsible for the books themselves, which of course we have for sale and public libraries, like Dixon's, have for loaning.  So, get reading and see you on Wednesdays at 10am -- five more weeks to join!
